The incident occurs after several musicians this year have had objects hurled at them while performing.

Weekend concertgoer who tossed a beer at Cardi B during her set was hit with a microphone.

The Grammy winner, 30, became the most recent singer to be attacked with objects thrown at them while performing on Saturday at Drai’s Beachclub in Las Vegas.

In a video of the incident that has now gone viral, Cardi can be seen performing while donning an orange dress and seems astonished when the drink is thrown in her way. She is also performing the smash song “Bodak Yellow.”

Cardi responded by throwing her microphone at the audience member in the front row, who security reportedly led away.

A new camera angle of the incident, which gives a closer view of the fan attempting to pour their cup towards Cardi, who apparently continued performing after the mic toss, was retweeted by the rapper after the incident.

The previous night at Drai’s Beachclub, Cardi reportedly threw her microphone at a DJ who appeared to be ending another performer’s songs too soon. This is according to a TikTok video.

The request for comment from PEOPLE was not immediately answered by a Cardi representative.

Cardi’s on-stage retort comes after a number of singers this year have experienced item throwing at performances.

Harry Styles knelt to the ground as he exited the stage earlier this month after a fan hit him in the eye with a flying object during his Love on Tour performance in Vienna. After being struck, 29-year-old Styles quickly covered his face with his hand, paused, and then got up from the ground while wearing a green sequined dress.

This on-stage incident came after others involving celebrities including Bebe Rexha, Drake, Kelsea Ballerini, Steve Lacy, Kid Cudi, and Pink, who were all the targets of concertgoers hurling things at or toward them in the middle of performances.

In the middle of a song in June in New York City, Rexha, 33, was hit in the face by a fan who had thrown his phone at the performer. The outcome was that the “I’m Good (Blue)” musician was knocked to the ground, her eyebrow needed stitches, and the phone split.

The attendee was detained and charged with two counts of third-degree assault as well as second-degree aggravated harassment, third-degree attempted assault, and second-degree harassment, the New York District Attorney’s Office has recently informed PEOPLE. The criminal complaint states that he admitted to police that he was “trying to see if I could hit her with the phone at the end of the show because it would be funny.”

He later stated in a statement via his attorney, Todd Spodek, that he “was hoping to interact in some way with Ms. Rexha as the phone was returned” and that it was “never his intention to injure Ms. Rexha in any way.”

While Pink responded when a fan tossed a bag holding their dead mother’s ashes on the stage, Ballerini, 29, was recently struck in the face by an object during a performance in Boise, Idaho.

Adele even made a break from her Weekends with Adele performance at The Colosseum in Las Vegas earlier this month to speak about the most recent concert safety concerns.

“Have you noticed how people are currently disregarding f—ing show etiquette? On stage, people are tossing things. You’ve seen that, right? In a fan-shot video, the 35-year-old “Hello” singer joked, “I f—ing dare you — I dare you throw anything at me. I’ll murder you with an f—.
