After saving a small boy from drowning in a pool, two young boys received rewards.

In Michigan last month, two young children’s fast thinking prevented a young kid from drowning; now, law enforcement is honoring the heroes.

Two young boys, Weston, 8, and Noah, 12, witnessed a small child fall into a swimming pool at an apartment complex in Fenton, Michigan, and plummet to the bottom very quickly. The lads went into the water as soon as they understood what was going on to save the 7-year-old.

The mother of the 7-year-old boy gave CPR up until the time that paramedics arrived after they had retrieved him from the water, according to ABC 12. He was taken to the hospital, where he recovered completely.

The Genesee County Sheriff’s Office introduced Griffin, the small kid who was saved, and the two boys who pulled him from the water during a Facebook Live broadcast.

Griffin’s granddad can be heard in the video saying, “Griffin had a little problem in the swimming pool.” And these two young men right here saved him, pulling him up from the pool’s bottom and bringing him to the pool’s edge. They are my idols.

Sheriff Chris Swanson of Genesee County gave the boys high fives before thanking the paramedics, ambulance staff, dispatchers, and police who all assisted in the incident.

Then Swanson gave each boy a package of books and $100 to spend on whatever they pleased.
