David Miscavige, the founder of Scientology, is married to Shelly Miscavige, who hasn’t been spotted in public since 2007.

Both the general population and the elite of Hollywood are concerned about the Shelly Miscavige situation. The Church of Scientology’s founder David Miscavige’s wife hasn’t been spotted in the open since 2007.

In addition to rising together in the Scientology church as members of the exclusive Commodore’s Messenger Organization, Shelly and David were married in 1982. She and David were thought to have had a significant involvement in the church up to 2006.

Actress Leah Remini left the church in 2013—six years after Shelly’s final public appearance—and immediately reported Shelly missing to the Los Angeles Police Department. However, the LAPD declared they would not be pursuing the matter less than a month later.

Despite the fact that the police have stated that Shelly is safe, speculation about her location has persisted, sparking debate over her apparent abduction. Additionally, Remini has kept wondering what happened to her ex-friend.

What about Shelly Miscavige? Here is all the information you need to know about her alleged 15-year disappearance.

The church disputed that she had vanished and asserted that she was fine and only a private individual. In 2013, a Scientology spokeswoman requested that her privacy be respected since “she is not a public figure.”

Shelly was formerly a prominent aide for the religion but was in a negative position with the church around the time of the burial, according to Marc Headley, a former Scientologist who has subsequently spoken out against the organization.

Headley claimed that while her father was serving, Shelly was relieved of her responsibilities and under a handler’s close supervision. Headley stated that Shelly allegedly said, “Listen to me, I f—– up, and I’m not going to be able to help you,” when another church member accompanied her into the restroom and requested for assistance.

In 2006, Leah Remini began posing inquiries regarding Shelly.

Remini revealed in 2015 that when she posed the query to the wedding guests, they did not react. “I kept asking, ‘Does anybody know where Shelly is?’ throughout the night,” she recalled.

Tommy Davis, the top member of the church, was Remini’s next point of contact. She claims that he reacted as follows: “I don’t think you have the f—— rank, quite honestly, to ask where Shelly is. Hearing the reply was a little bit shocking. That kind of ignited a spark in me.

Through his attorney, Davis denied saying that, telling PEOPLE, “This claim is an invention,” and that he and his wife, Jessica, a Scientology staff member who was also at the wedding, “recall observing Ms. Remini’s repeated rude behavior which became so blatant it was a topic of dismayed discussion among other guests, including friends of Ms. Remini.”

Following her inquiries, Remini claimed she was transferred to a church facility in Clearwater, Florida, where she underwent a “Sec Check, Truth Rundown, and Reprogramming.” According to reports, this included “intensive and exhaustive forms of interrogation” that may last up to 12 hours each day.

In 2013, Leah Remini reported herself as being missing.

Remini eventually quit the church after seven years. Only a few weeks after leaving, she reported herself missing to the LAPD; the complaint was quickly deemed “unfounded.”

The LAPD claimed that after seeing Shelly, they came to the conclusion that “there was not sufficient grounds” to pursue the investigation. Remini told PEOPLE that the police had informed her that Shelly “did not want to talk.”

She stated that when she followed up, they declined to provide her with any details. ‘Did you see her with your own eyes?’ I asked the officers. Is she secure and alive? ‘We cannot provide you that information, ma’am,’ was their response. Remini remarked. I’m still without a response.

Remini was denounced by the Church of Scientology as a “bitter ex-Scientologist” in a statement they made, along with the comment, “Ms. Remini also continues her bizarre efforts to harass the Church of Scientology’s leader and his wife, whom Ms. Remini has been obsessed with and has stalked for years.”

In Hollywood, the query of what transpired to Shelly continues.

Carmichael entered the stage holding three Golden Globes and remarked, “Backstage I found these three Golden Globes Awards that Tom Cruise returned,” alluding to the actor’s 2021 protest of the racial issue surrounding the award ceremony by returning his statues.

“I’m just a host briefly or whatever, but I have a pitch,” Carmichael continued. Maybe we take these three items in exchange for Shelly Miscavige’s safe return.

The joke was made a few months after Remini inquired about Shelly’s location once more in light of an investigation into Cory Palka, captain of the Hollywood section of the LAPD, who she reported to and who is accused of giving CBS executives classified information.

“The Missing Persons Unit handles adult missing cases throughout the City of Los Angeles and works out of LAPD’s Detective Bureau,” the LAPD said in response. Hollywood Division staff did not look into this case, and retired LAPD Commander Corey Palka was not involved.
