The ‘greatest actor I’ve ever worked with,’ according to Eva Mendes, “is Ryan Gosling.”
Following their initial encounter while working on the set of “The Place Beyond the Pines,” the couple welcomed two daughters into the world.

Although they have kept their relationship relatively discreet since initially meeting on the set of The Place Beyond the Pines in 2011, the actress, 49, sent a touching homage to Gosling on Instagram on Thursday.
The mother of two captioned pictures from their 2012 movie with, “Mi Hombre. My LifeIt would be an understatement to say that he is the best actor I have ever worked with.
The images featured a passage from Greta Gerwig’s most recent interview with Rolling Stone, in which she compared Ryan Gosling, 42, to “some combination of Marlon Brando meets Gene Wilder meets John Barrymore meets John Travolta.” Greta Gerwig, 39, was praised by Mendes in the caption for her support, adding, “Gracias to the brilliant & beautiful Greta Gerwig @rollingstone.”
Weeks before the eagerly awaited premiere of Barbie, Gerwig praised Ryan Gosling.
Gosling plays Ken in the project, which is directed by Gerwig, while Margot Robbie plays the titular role. Mendes posted a preview for the movie on Instagram along with Gerwig’s comment to demonstrate her support for Gosling’s most recent endeavor.
In a June 2022 Instagram post, Mendes expressed her instant impression of Gosling’s role, saying, “So. F. Funny. Such a good f. #Thatsmyken “So F excited for you to see this.”
After meeting Mendes, Gosling knew he wanted to start a family with him, and he expressed his love for Mendes in a recent interview with GQ.
“I wasn’t thinking about having kids before I met her, but after I met Eva, I realized that I just didn’t want to have kids without her,” he stated. On The Place Beyond the Pines, there were times when we pretended to be a family, but I didn’t want it to be pretend any more.
The actor continued, “I realized that this would be a life I would be really lucky to have.”
