John Legend and Chrissy Teigen have secretly welcomed a fourth child through surrogacy, the couple announced on Instagram on Wednesday.

John Legend and Chrissy Teigen have welcomed a new baby into their family!

The EGOT winner, 44, and the author of the Cravings cookbook, 37, welcomed a son via surrogate on Wednesday, she announced in a lengthy post on Instagram.

On Monday, June 19, Stephens’ son Wren Alexander was born.

We want to thank you for this amazing gift you have given us, Alexandra,” Teigen wrote, referring to their “most amazing, caring, sensitive surrogate,” with whom she had the opportunity to share a temporary pregnancy. And we are overjoyed to announce to the world that Wren Alexander Stephens, a name that will always be associated with you, is here.

Only five months have passed since the family welcomed baby Esti before the couple’s new arrival. Last month, Teigen posted some pictures in reaction to a number of offensive online claims that she had covertly utilized a surrogate to have Esti.

Teigen sarcastically captioned an intimate photo taken on January 13 following her cesarean operation, “Extremely realistic “moon bump.”

Teigen discussed her first cesarean section with PEOPLE in March and explained why she was “so excited” about the procedure.

“I was somewhat excited because I said, ‘Yeah, I’ve done the vaginal thing twice. She referred to her earlier children, son Miles Theodore, 4, and daughter Luna Simone, 7, saying, “Let’s try this. “I love surgery a lot.”

“I like that I’ve seen both experiences,” Teigen, who has kids with musician hubby Legend, continued.

She described the procedure, saying “the incision is a lot, and you never know how your stomach’s going to come together.” For a little moment, I believe your organs are on the table, but I still find that to be really cool. I was photographing the area over the seat. I have some absolutely bizarre photos of the cord and everything.
