Hilary Duff, known for her role in “Lizzie McGuire,” and her husband Matthew Koma have an exciting announcement to make – they are expecting their third child together and Hilary’s fourth overall! The couple shared the joyful news on Instagram through their 2023 holiday card.
The front of the card showcases a heartwarming image of Hilary, 36, cradling her baby bump in cozy pajamas, surrounded by Matthew, also 36, and their children. The caption on the front playfully says, “So much for silent nights.” The back of the card officially confirms that they will be “adding one more to this crazy bunch!”
Hilary captioned her post with a playful “Surprise Surprise!” It’s clear that the couple is overjoyed by this new addition to their family. Hilary and Matthew welcomed their daughters Banks, 5, and Mae, 2, in October 2018 and March 2021, respectively.
Between their growing brood, Hilary and Matthew exchanged vows in December 2019, making Matthew a stepdad to Hilary’s now-11-year-old son, Luca, from her previous marriage. With a big family comes plenty of chaos, as Hilary explains in an interview with Shape magazine. She embraces the mayhem and craziness that fills her home on a daily basis, and despite the challenges, she finds joy in successfully navigating each day.
Hilary’s honesty shines through as she jokes about the inherent challenges of parenting. She admitted that sometimes, she feels disappointed in herself but acknowledges that it’s all part of being human. Despite becoming a parent at a young age, Hilary has grown into her role beautifully. She fondly recalls her early days as a “teen mom,” and although it was tough without friends who were also parents at the time, she figured it out and embraced the journey.
