Happy Days actor Scott Baio, who played Chachi Arcola, has made the decision to permanently leave California. But when people realized why, they became quite irate…

Numerous well-known actors and other celebrities have made the decision to leave California in recent years and look for new homes in other states where they can raise their children.

Actor Matthew McConaughey is one of them. He relocated to his native Texas in 2020 so that his kids may grow up with the same ideals he did and be nearer to his family.

The same thing was done by Mark Wahlberg when he relocated to Ohio, where he has family and operates a Chevrolet dealership, and sold his $30 million Beverly Hills property.

The well-known podcaster Joe Rogan stated that the “insane” traffic and high expense of living in the city were the reasons for his plan to leave L.A. in 2020.

Another famous person is currently leaving California. Scott Baio, who is best known for playing Chachi Arcola on the TV show Happy Days, announced his departure from the area he has called home for many years on Twitter. However, the reasons he gave caused others to have differing perspectives, and while some were with him, others were critical of him.

In particular, Baio claimed that he had had enough of the L.A. homelessness problem.

“After 45 years, I’m finally preparing to ‘leave stage right’ from California. According to the most current assessment by the Los Angeles Homeless Services Authority, there will be 41,000 homeless people living in the city and 69,000 in the county by 2022.

His tweet generated a buzz, and responses poured in.

Scott, good for you,” a Twitter user said. “You’ll be considerably happier, and so will your family. Additionally, you can return if CA changes in the future.

“Excellent, sir. I hope you and your family can find a home to live happily and comfortably. Texas still has some room available if you want it. Another person chimed up, “We would love to have you here. “Congrats. My son and I will be leaving as soon as he does. Being here since 1970, I can attest that this place is no longer as picturesque as it once was.

However, not everyone agreed with Baio’s remarks regarding homelessness.

A Twitter user responded angrily, “Considering you’ve never done anything to help out in the situation after getting wealthy off of us, we will be pleased to see you go. Another individual commented, “Happy Californian here, especially knowing you are leaving!!”

Some even cracked jokes about the actor. Someone tweeted, “With your lack of work over the last 20+ years – are you one of the homeless?”

Who cares? You stopped being relevant about 30 years ago. Another individual added.

Another person who wasn’t happy with his post said, “It’ll be easy to pack up your tent and shopping cart.” “Because you, too, have not had a career for 40 years!”

The fact that Baio has his home listed for $3.85 million indicates that he is serious about moving. The residence is 6,300 square feet in size and has a home theater, five bedrooms, and four and a half bathrooms. It was bought for $1.85 million in 2010.
