Following the release of recent images showing this celebrity appearing seriously ill, fans were alarmed. His clarification supports our suspicions. We are sending prayers.

A period of time came to an end on May 6, 2004. It’s the day that the cult television show Friends’ final episode aired. There will never be another show like this one, millions of fans from around the world agree, and we share their sentiment. It’s interesting that Friends is still as popular today, more than 28 years after its debut, as it was then, since new generations are discovering it on Netflix. Sincerity be damned, I’ve seen it a lot already, yet it never gets boring.

Chandler, portrayed by Matthew Perry, was one of the characters that helped shape the series into what it is now. Millions were won over by his charm and devotion to Monica, his on-screen partner. He has dated several stunning women throughout the years, including Yasmine Bleeth, Julia Roberts, and Lizzy Caplan.

But as time went on, Perry’s look significantly changed, and most people concur that he is no longer recognisable. Among the others, he put on weight, had a bloated face, and “looked lonely and sad.”

His alcohol and opiate addiction, as he disclosed in his memoir, has been one of the causes of this. At the height of his stardom, the actor used 55 Vicodin pills per day, according to the actor, and “over the next 20 years, he would check into rehab 15 times, attend 6,000 Alcoholics Anonymous meetings, and undergo 14 stomach surgeries.”

He was recently photographed by paparazzi in a Beverly Hills parking lot while sporting a stained T-shirt and looking dirty and unshaven. Additionally, he was donning laceless footwear.

Perry talked about his near-death experiences, and one of them—and perhaps the most recent—was when he had a perforated gut about two years ago. This condition is also known as gastrointestinal perforation and ruptured bowel.

But the Friends star is making every effort to fight his addictions. He participates in public discussions where he discusses his drug addiction and his struggles to maintain long-term recovery as one of his activities outside of rehab.

According to Perry, who was speaking to ABC News about the period he spent filming Friends and how his addictions made it difficult for him to achieve that, “The majority of it consisted of booze and drugs. Although I think I did a decent job of hiding it, others eventually managed to figure it out.

In his memoir, which was released in 2022, he spoke of his life, stating that he was “sitting in a huge house, overlooking the ocean, with no one to share it with, save a sober companion, a nurse, and a gardener twice a week.”

We sincerely hope Matthew Perry is able to regain his footing and make positive changes in his life.
