According to police, the victim was sexually assaulted in a car as it was traveling into Belfast. A thorough investigation has been opened.

After a teenage girl was “dragged into a car and sexually assaulted,” police are hunting for three men. On Saturday at around 2 pm, in full daylight, north of Belfast, close to the Newtonabbey retail center, an incident occurred. Police have opened a complete investigation and are now asking for witnesses.

According to Detective Sergeant Lyttle’s statement, the police were alerted about an incident where a teenage girl was approached by three men in a dark-colored vehicle outside a shopping center in the Longwood Road area of Newtownabbey around 2 pm. As the vehicle traveled towards Belfast, the girl was subjected to a sexual assault.

Afterward, the victim was reportedly released by the men near the Royal Avenue area. Once free, she sought assistance and promptly raised the alarm for help, alerting the authorities to her situation.

The police have made a public appeal, urging any potential witnesses to come forward and assist in identifying those involved in the incident. They emphasize the importance of receiving assistance from anyone who can contribute to their ongoing investigation.

In particular, the police are interested in hearing from individuals who may have observed or possess dash-cam footage of a dark-colored car traveling along the Shore Road towards York Street and continuing on to Royal Avenue between 2 pm and 2:30 pm. They note that the car may have had tinted windows.
