The reality star is recovering from spinal surgery for osteomyelitis and says she is “in a lot of pain” but “grateful.”

Amanza Smith provided a quick, upbeat report on her health on Sunday following a second spinal operation.

The Selling Sunset real estate agent posted a video on Instagram from her hospital bed at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles, saying, “The surgery went better than it could have even gone.”

The 46-year-old Netflix celebrity has osteomyelitis, a severe infection that entered her circulation and spread to her spine. In a previous article, she stated that “part of my spine has completely degenerated due to the infection, and I’ll be getting a new vertebrae and a few screws and rods in my spine to replace what has been eaten away by the bacteria.”

However, she claimed that the procedure was “absolutely perfection.”

I’m appreciative that they were able to get rid of the infection not just from my bone but also from the possibly dangerous places around it that may have harmed my organs.

Smith underwent an MRI and CT scan after noticing “something wrong” with her “lower back,” which led to the diagnosis. In order to treat the infection, she was brought to the hospital and given intravenous antibiotics.

Smith ultimately had surgery to have the infection from her spine removed.

She stated that the position of the infection made a second surgery “quite risky” and that at first, her doctors had hoped to prevent it.

She was happy, nevertheless, that the second procedure would go forward.

“I am in high spirits and confident that I will recover completely in three to four months following healing. Life is an adventure, Smith wrote on Instagram on Saturday beside a photo giving the thumbs up. I’m going to use this as yet another colorful chapter in my already colorful life narrative to encourage people to keep going.

Smith claimed that she decided to post on Instagram while she was recovering to inform everyone who had gotten in touch with her.

“Please be assured that I’m fine. We have Instagram, so I’m leaving it in here because I’m only human and in a lot of pain and now is not the time for me to be responding to everyone,” she said.

The reality star said, “That’s why I can barely talk or keep my eyes open, but I’m still — even with that — in a great deal of pain,” even though she jokingly acknowledged, “I’m grateful and high as a kite from pain medicine.”

Smith thanked her viewers for their kind words and prayers as she concluded her video. I’ll make it through this.
