The unconscious man was hauled off Brooklyn subway rails by two police officers.

An unresponsive man who had fallen onto subway lines in Brooklyn after experiencing an unknown medical episode was rescued by two NYPD officers.

At the Utica Avenue subway station in Brooklyn’s Bedford-Stuyvesant neighborhood, the unnamed individual fell over the train platform and onto the tracks on July 3. The rescue was captured on the officers’ body cameras, which were later published by NYPD News on Twitter.

It’s unknown what exactly caused the man to fall, but body camera footage shows two NYPD officers—named officers Baez and Hall by the NYPD 81st Precinct—working together to move the unresponsive man back to safety on the train platform after he was lifted off the rails.

Following the event, the NYPD 81st precinct complimented and praised the two policemen for their quick thinking and quick action that resulted in the man’s rescue.

The precinct noted that when a man had a medical emergency and fell into the train tracks, officers Baez and Hall leapt into the tracks without thinking, putting themselves in danger, and carried the unconscious adult over the rails and onto the platform to safety.

There was no more information on the non-responsive person.
