Nancy Hauck became a surrogate for her son and daughter-in-law when they struggled to conceive. Despite being 56 years old, Nancy was able to help make their dream of having a child come true. She gave birth to a healthy baby girl named Hannah, who is her own granddaughter.

Cambria Hauck took to Instagram to announce the arrival of her daughter, Hannah. In a video featuring various short clips, viewers can see Cambria’s mother-in-law, Nancy, giving birth to the baby girl while on a hospital bed. Cambria captioned the post with, “She is here, and my heart could explode. She is perfect in every way.”

Cambria revealed that she faced fertility challenges after giving birth to two sets of twins, and during her last delivery, she had to undergo an emergency hysterectomy due to complications. She and her husband, Jeff, had originally planned to use their preserved embryos from previous fertility treatments to have another child. However, they ultimately decided against it, as they didn’t want to risk Cambria’s health any further.

Despite her age, Nancy, who has five children of her own, felt compelled to offer to carry the baby for her son and daughter-in-law. “I could just feel this calling to offer to carry for them,” she said. Although Nancy was afraid that she might be “too old,” she still offered to do it. Cambria expressed that she didn’t feel uneasy about the proposal, adding, “There was just so much peace around the whole conversation and around the whole experience.”

After undergoing medical evaluations, professionals determined that Nancy was a suitable candidate for the procedure, despite her age. She underwent an embryo transfer and successfully carried the pregnancy to full term. After a 9-hour labor, Nancy gave birth to Hannah, who was born healthy and well.

Nancy expressed her joy, saying, “Everything went perfectly, and we are feeling so blessed to have her in our family.” She also acknowledged that having a baby and not being able to bring her home with her afterward brought new emotions to her experience.

Cambria expressed her gratitude towards her mother-in-law, whom she described as “amazing in every way.” Thanks to the incredible advancements in the medical field, more and more women in their fifties are giving birth. One such example is Cláudia Raia, who delivered a child at 56 years old, and her journey is an inspiration to many.
