MSNBC anchor Nicolle Wallace and husband Michael S. Schmidt have a new addition to their family! Wallace, 51, announced on Tuesday that she and Schmidt, 40, welcomed a baby girl via surrogate. The couple named their newborn Isabella Sloane.

Wallace’s absence from her show, “Deadline: White House,” had not gone unnoticed by viewers. However, fill-in anchor Alicia Menendez broke the news and welcomed Nicolle back for a brief return on the show.

The news personality expressed her joy to share the happy news, stating, “Mike and Liam and I are smitten with her,” referring to her 11-year-old son from a previous marriage. Wallace also shared that the dogs are still “rendering judgment,” but overall, the family is thrilled.

The former co-host of “The View” admitted that there are both pros and cons to becoming a second-time mom at her age. She jokingly mentioned the lack of sleep but emphasized the blessing of being focused on her beautiful family.

Nicolle, who was previously married to Mark Wallace from 2005 to 2019, did not disclose when she plans to return from her maternity leave. However, her dedication to her work and family is evident, as she continues to balance her roles as a news anchor and mom.

This news follows Page Six’s exclusive report in April 2022, revealing Nicolle and Schmidt’s secret wedding. The couple had tied the knot in an intimate ceremony. In March 2019, Page Six also reported that Nicolle and Schmidt had started dating after meeting on the set of her show.

Congratulations to Nicolle Wallace and Michael S. Schmidt on their new bundle of joy!
