Upon discovering a black mark on the roof of her daughter’s mouth, Darian Depreta promptly took her to the hospital for examination.

At first glance, the doctors misidentified it as a birthmark. However, the father was unconvinced, as he believed that the spot was not merely a birthmark.

Despite several unsuccessful attempts to schedule another appointment, the concerned couple eventually succeeded in arranging a follow-up visit with the doctor to have their daughter thoroughly evaluated.

The mother started her Facebook post by recounting how she had spotted a mark on Bella’s mouth while playing with her. She tried to wipe it off to see if it would disappear, but it did not.

Consequently, she contacted everyone and managed to schedule a 30-minute appointment with the doctor.

In her Facebook post, the mother went on to describe in detail the day she first noticed the mark in her daughter’s mouth. She mentioned how they loved playing games together, which often involved singing and laughter.

However, while Bella was singing her favorite song, the mother noticed that something was not quite right. At first, she thought it might be remnants of candy that Bella had just eaten, but she soon realized it was something else and decided to take her to the doctor.

At the doctor’s office, the nurse attempted to remove the black spot using an ENT control stick, but it did not come off. The doctor then sought guidance from the little girl to examine the spot. Initially, they informed the mother that it might be a symptom of impending delivery, but she was skeptical and did not believe them. The mother further claimed that the stain had not appeared earlier, as she was meticulous in cleaning her daughter’s mouth.

The mother was dissatisfied with the initial diagnosis of a birthmark and insisted on getting a second opinion from the doctors. She explained to both the nurse and the doctor that she could not have missed the mark before, and it had appeared recently, causing her considerable worry. However, the doctor was not willing to schedule another appointment.

The mother persisted and was eventually promised that two specialists would examine her daughter. After the little girl confirmed that it was not a birthmark, the doctors contacted the mother again. She explained that the mark had white edges and that her daughter was trying to scratch it with her fingers inside her mouth.

Fortunately, the story had a happy ending. The doctors finally discovered the cause of the dark stain, and the entire hospital was amused by it. It turned out that the parents were right all along, and it was not a birthmark in their daughter’s mouth. Instead, it was a piece of cardboard that the little girl had chewed with her teeth from a box.

Upon hearing this news, the parents were overjoyed and burst out laughing. They also apologized to the doctor for their persistence and for wasting their time.
