Even as he nears 93 years old, THIS bodybuilder continues his workout regimen. During the 1960s and 1970s, Albert Beckles was a champion bodybuilder who even competed into his late 50s. Beckles, a Barbados native who decided to go to London in order to pursue his dream of being a professional bodybuilder, was born in Barbados.

He worked as a part-time accountant for 18 years while also training for two hours a day in order to support himself. In 1965, he competed for the first time, going for NABBA Mr. Britain, and finished in the top five. Beckles became a member of the International Federation of Bodybuilding and Fitness in 1971 and won the Mr. Universe title.

When he was 62 years old and competing professionally for the last time, it was 1992. Because of how long he competed, Beckles is now regarded as one of “the best-kept secrets of bodybuilders,” according to YouTuber Williams Fitness. Despite the fact that he is no longer competing, the 92-year-old continues to train, according to Iron & Grit.

His workouts aren’t even close to being as challenging as they were when he was competing. He used to be a pollo-vegetarian, meaning that the only meat he consumes is chicken. In addition, no processed foods or sugar are consumed.

Just his Monday program included leg and chest exercises in the morning and at night.

He would perform four to five sets of each exercise, for a total of 12 to 15 repetitions.

Beckles now instructs the following generation of aspiring bodybuilders using his expertise.

“Meet My Idol, Albert Beckles!” is the title of a video of him that trainer and YouTuber Charles Glass published.

To me, he was “one of the most inspirational bodybuilders of all time,” Glass penned.

He is the only man to have won Mr. Universe twice in 1971! He has one of history’s most impressive biceps peaks. I had the privilege of sharing the stage with him, and I was so taken aback by his body and posturing that I lost focus.

Beckles has been spotted visiting Williams Fitness’ gym, according to a remark on the company’s video.

“He conducts training sessions at the Southern California Golds I frequent. Absolute Legend, it said in the comment.

Another user said, “Great video of Mr. Longevity Albert Beckles, he really is what bodybuilding should be all about.”

The most compelling argument, according to a third commenter, is that Albert Beckles was 55 years old when he finished second behind Lee Haney in the 1985 Olympia.
