The co-host of the game show is asking for a pay raise after her last one was 18 years ago.
When contemplating the end of her and Pat Sajak’s tenure on Wheel of Fortune, Vanna White claims it is “depressing.”

Following Pat Sajak’s retirement, the 66-year-old co-host of Wheel of Fortune is in talks to extend her contract and continue hosting the venerable game show, according to information obtained by PEOPLE.
According to Entertainment Weekly, agreements have not yet been finalized about the arrangements’ specifics.
Alongside Sajak, who recently announced his departure from Wheel of Fortune at the conclusion of the show’s 41st season, White has been flipping and exposing letters on the show for more than 40 years.
White wants a compensation increase in her new contract, according to Puck, who broke the news about her ambitions in the first place. Even though she has received a few incentives over the years, her most recent wage raise apparently happened 18 years ago. According to the publication, she earns $3 million year while Sajak earns five times as much.
Sony Pictures Television representatives declined to comment.
“Well, now is the right time. Our 41st season, which premieres in September, will be my last, I’ve decided,” the television personality announced on Twitter. “I’ll have more to say in the upcoming months. It’s been a beautiful voyage. Thank you all very much. (At the very least, it’ll keep the clickbait websites active!)”
In a statement to PEOPLE, Suzanne Prete, the EVP of Game Shows at Sony Pictures Television, also confirmed Sajak’s impending retirement and said he would work as a consultant on the show for the following three years.
The news that White intends to continue hosting the game show is not entirely unexpected. She admitted to PEOPLE in December that she wasn’t prepared to leave Wheel of Fortune.
“I don’t want to even consider that. We’re a team, after all,” she remarked at the time. “That makes me sad. I don’t want to consider it at all.
In addition, White recognized that it would be difficult to imagine Sajak or herself hosting game shows in the future.
“I simply picture the two of us there. I’m unable to think past that, she admitted.
She went on, “I can’t even imagine. “Everyone associates Pat and Vanna with Wheel of Fortune. You know, we’re like Ken and Barbie. It would feel strange to have someone else turn my letters as we have lived in everyone’s homes for 40 years.
