Due to the news that she had tried out for a major Hollywood film franchise, Rebel Wilson has been seen walking the red carpet at the Cannes Film Festival.

The Pitch Perfect actor revealed to Variety that she auditioned for a part in the upcoming James Bond film.

Wilson declined to disclose the position she tried out for or whether she was offered the part.

She did, however, explain how the Bond link came about before she hosted the BAFTA Film Awards in London the previous year.

The comic needed permission from Bond producers Michael G. Wilson and Barbara Broccoli before she could incorporate gags about Bond into her monologues.

She jokingly remarked during the Variety interview, “What was truly cool was getting to audition for Bond.

After Daniel Craig exits the 007 character in 2021’s No Time To Die, it is unknown who will fill the role and whether the new 007 will be a man or a woman.

Wilson, meantime, was captured on camera Thursday night at the amfAR Cannes Gala 2023 at the Hotel du Cap-Eden-Roc in France.

For the A-list affair, the actress and her fiancé, fashion designer Ramona Agruma, looked magnificent in off-the-shoulder gowns.

Wilson, 43, accessorized her strapless dark green dress with a striking necklace made out of pink and green jewels.

Agruma, 39, who was tanned, looked as stunning in a pink off-the-shoulder gown.

She matched the gorgeous dress with straightforward drop earrings, a necklace, and strappy heels, just like Wilson did.

As they posed for pictures with the Cannes press, the couple clasped hands and grinned at one another.

Later, the couple was seen mingling with other famous guests, including Debora Nascimento, Kellie Crisp, Victoria Villaroel, and Kate Beckinsale.

Wilson and Agruma were pictured inside the venue sitting with Heidi Klum, a TV personality, and Winnie Harlow, a model.
